My Aviation Story...

I used to be afraid of flying. In fact, I didn’t step onto an airplane until 2011, when I took my first commercial flight. Somewhere along the way, that fear turned into curiosity, and I started exploring aviation from the ground—building a basic home simulator using X-Plane on my PC. Growing up in a small town, flying seemed like a distant dream, more of a hobby than anything realistic.
 

Then in 2019, something unexpected happened. A friend found an iPad that had been dropped by a pilot while filming his farm. Amazingly, it survived the fall thanks to a rugged case and a soft landing in the grass. We got it working again, tracked down the owner, and returned it. As a thank-you, he invited us to go flying with a Certified Flight Instructor in his airplane. That flight lit a spark in me that changed everything.

In 2021, I earned my Private Pilot certificate, and soon after, I left my job to pursue aviation full-time. By 2023, I had completed both my Instrument and Commercial ratings. In 2024 and 2025, I went on to earn my CFII, AGI, and IGI certifications.

Today, as a flight instructor, I focus on providing meaningful, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student.
